We're An Ecosystem of Ideas

Boston Made began with well-made things for dogs, and grew into a keeper of memory for the city that inspired it.

What started in 2019 as Boston Made Pets, a small brand of dog wearables and accessories, grew into a multi-industry family of brands built on execution, technology and scale. Along the way it became something deeper: a living tribute to the city that shaped everything we believe about grit, leadership and legacy. Today Boston Made, Inc. is an independent company and the corporate home of a connected family of companies: media, technology, education, community and consumer brands that share one sign-in, one membership and one story. We still honor the city that inspired us, keeping the history of Boston alive through time, place and people. Read the full story in six chapters →

This evolution reflects a simple truth: Boston was always the product.

Boston Made at a glance

From one idea in 2019 to a family of companies.

Boston Made began on March 22, 2019, when its Certificate of Incorporation was filed with the Delaware Secretary of State, followed three days later by its Massachusetts foreign qualification and federal EIN. What started as a single idea, a curated pet-products brand, has grown into a family of brands spanning media, technology, community, education and government contracting.

    Public-market plans

We set a goal of taking Boston Made public in 2026. That goal has been delayed. Rather than rush toward a listing, we are putting our effort into growing the company the right way first.

  • 2027
    Future · Mergers & acquisitions

With the IPO on hold, our next chapter is growth through mergers and acquisitions. We are pursuing deals with several larger, established players, and we are being selective: the goal is the right fit, not the most deals. Boston Made also takes on corporate restructuring for companies outside the family. That means reorganizing entity structures, stabilizing operations, working through debt and creditor obligations, and preparing a business for a sale or a combination. The next name on this timeline could be yours.

The 2019 and 2022 dates come from Boston Made’s corporate minute book and filings. Later dates are approximate and drawn from each brand’s own profile; several 2026 entries are recent or still in progress.
