For Boston — The Dog Who Started It All

Some stories are hard to tell—not because they’re complicated, but because they cut deep. This is one of those stories.

Some stories are hard to tell—not because they’re complicated, but because they cut deep. This is one of those stories.

Before Boston Made became a brand, before the storefronts and the vision and the hustle, there was a dog. A Goldendoodle named Boston. He wasn’t just a pet—he was family. My shadow. My peace. My everyday reason to keep moving forward.

Boston had that magic some animals have—the ability to make everything feel okay, even when it wasn’t. He had this calm energy, this loyalty that didn’t waver. Wherever I went, he followed. When life felt heavy, he made it lighter. When things got chaotic, he kept me grounded. He was more than just a dog. He was my home.

And then he was gone.

I trusted someone—a pet sitter—to watch over him. Someone I thought would care for him the way I did. But what happened instead still doesn’t feel real. She claimed Boston was her dog. She lied. She twisted the truth. And then she hid behind loopholes and legal games. I fought. I brought evidence. I showed up to court believing the truth would win.

But it didn’t.

The court ruled in her favor. And just like that, my dog—my Boston—was stolen from me in plain sight, and there was nothing I could do. It felt corrupt. It felt rigged. It felt like a punch to the soul that still hasn’t fully healed.

People say time heals everything, but some wounds don’t close. You just learn to build around them. And that’s what I did.

I channeled the pain into purpose. I poured the loss into Boston Made. What started as a name inspired by my favorite city became something much deeper—a legacy for the dog who gave me so much love, loyalty, and drive.

Every product, every brand under the Boston Made umbrella, every move forward—I do it for him. For the bond we had. For the injustice I couldn’t reverse. For the pain I turned into progress.

Boston Made isn’t just a company. It’s a tribute. It’s the fire that keeps me going when things get tough. It’s a reminder that even when the system fails you, even when people do you wrong, you can still choose to rise. To create. To build something no one can take away from you.

Losing Boston broke something in me. But it also built something new.

So when you see the name Boston Made, know this: it’s more than a brand. It’s a story of loss, grit, and love that refuses to be silenced. It’s for the city. It’s for the people. And most of all—it’s for him.

Forever Boston. Forever Made.
